Mak Grgic, named gifted young guitarist by the New York Times and an emerging star on the worldwide stage by the Washington Post, will perform at this year’s Oysterville concert. Musically expansive and adventurous, Grgic has a remarkable repertoire that embraces the renaissance to flamenco, ethnic to cinema classics.
Mak is a dedicated educator who serves as director of the Elemental Guitar in Santa Monica, CA., an exciting program for youth, and is an adjunct faculty member at Mount St. Mary’s University in Los Angeles, CA.
He also is a director of several European guitar festivals. Supportive of the work of world craftsman, he plays an array of concert guitars, including an historic 1960 Jose Ramirez guitar, a noted Spanish maker of classical and Flamenco guitars.
