Ringering/Wheeler Piano Duo

The Ringering/Wheeler Duo performs 4-hand and two-piano works, specializing in music that embraces both the classical, jazz, and dance forms. They first appeared together at The Ernest Bloch Festival Two-Piano Institute in June 2003 and since then have appeared on The Forest Grove Chamber Music Series, the Aladdin Theatre, The Old Church, Linfield College, Pacific University, the “Art for the Ears” Concert Series  as well as numerous other venues throughout the Northwest.  In October 2005, they appeared in a live broadcast performance on KBPS 89.9.

Rhonda Ringering

Rhonda Ringering has crafted a career as a pianist, a writer and an instructor. She has released three CDs: OregonImpressions: the Original Piano Music of Dave DeasonMadein America, a collection of American music and A Lullaby for Innocence, featuring the music of composer Dana Carlile. She is an active chamber music performer and as a soloist has performed for venues as diverse as Multnomah County Library, Central Oregon Symphony, The Old Church, Linfield College, Broderick Gallery Series, the Brookings-Harbor Friend of Music series, and the Ernest Bloch Music Festival. She has performed live on KBPS 89.9FM. She has appeared several times with Oregon Chamber Players, and performs piano and vocal cabaret with Ron Harman. She is adjunct professor of piano at Linfield College, staff accompanist at Pacific University, piano instructor for Young Musicians and Artists Camp, and she maintains a private piano studio in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Molly Wheeler

Molly Wheeler is a specialist in duet literature and has collaborated with several fine pianists, most notably with Molly Nichols in the duo The MollysThe Mollys appeared in many venues throughout the northwest, including San Juan Community Theater, Clatskanie Performing Arts Center, and a performance with the Yaquina Orchestra in Newport, Oregon.  She has spent two summers in Provence, France at the Music Academié Franco-Americaine, where she studied and performed chamber music and piano duets.  She received her Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma and her undergraduate degree in Piano Performance from Linfield College.  Prior to her graduate studies, she was the accompanist for Southminster Chamber Choir and the New World Singers.  She has held positions on the faculties of the Southwest Music School and the Portland Conservatory of Music. She currently teaches piano in her studio in Portland.
