About the Rose City Mixed Quartet
Portland, Oregon
The Rose City Mixed Quartet’s purpose has been to present a cappella choral music from all ages and styles. The ensemble has been together since 1996 and performances continue to bring audiences to their feet in all parts of the world. They have toured throughout the Northwest and have also toured several European countries.
As a mixed quartet, the RCMQ is made up of two women and two men. Cameron Griffith Herbert and Helen Deitz are the soprano and alto voices of the group. Dale Webber and Mark Petersen sing the tenor and bass parts. Together, they have developed a repertoire that can cover almost any occasion, singing songs from the Renaissance to Baroque and modern swing and pop.
The Quartet will perform several of Barbara Poulshock’s compositions – including the debut of her settings to three William Blake poems – in this “overture” lead up to the “Poulshock Concert – A Love Affair with Music” scheduled for February 14, 2010.
