marilyn-kellerMarilyn Keller

Marilyn brings a special magic to the stage with her charming presence and flawless vocal stylings. She is featured at the Jazz Worship Service at Augustana Lutheran Church every Sunday and can be seen frequently at restaurants, clubs, festivals and holiday events throughout the Pacific Northwest. Marilyn’s versatility extends to the recording studio and she has contributed her talents to various original CD’s, albums, demos and commercials.

ron-steen

Ron Steen
Veteran drummer and bandleader Ron Steen is one of the Northwest’s top rhythm keepers and leader of the Portland jazz scene. He has performed with a host of jazz artists such as Joe Henderson, Woody Shaw, Dexter Gordon, Eddie Harris, Sonny Stitt and Charles Lloyd among many others. He is also the “Godfather of Jazz Jams” in Portland, having hosted ongoing jam sessions since 1980. Steen’s ability to bring together top musicians in town and around the nation make him one of the city’s most valuable assets.

kevin-deitz

Kevin Deitz
Kevin Deitz is an active jazz and classical bassist, composer/arranger, educator, clinician and adjudicator. Jazz performances include concerts with Mose Allison, Terrence Blanchard, Dave Brubeck, Herb Ellis, Dave Frishberg, Benny Golson, and Diane Shurr. Pop and smooth jazz performances include concerts with the Oregon Symphony, Sheena Easton, Robert Goulet, Tom Grant, Marvin Hamlisch, Jeff Kashiwa, The Moody Blues World Orchestra, Kenny Rankin, Dan Siegal, Toni Tenille, and Mason Williams.

tom-grant

Tom Grant
Tom Grant, master instrumentalist, talented singer and natural entertainer nimbly walks the line between jazz tradition and modern pop. He plays jazz piano with the harmonic sophistication and deep sense of swing that only comes from more than three decades on the bandstand. At the same time, his recordings have consistently landed at the top of the Smooth Jazz charts, a genre of music Tom helped pioneer in the mid-80s.

George Mitchell
George Mitchell is the original keyboard player for the Augustana Quartet, but he is currently performing with Diana Ross and is unable to join us for Water Music Festival. Tom Grant is playing in his stead.
